After not being able to gain access to a studio, I began a temprory job in a college as a support teaching for photography. This gained me access to some professional equipment and a studio to take photographs of the mask contracted by Damarni. Using my test shoots as a know how and research from ASOS, Etsy and Amazon I photograph the mask to use for social media and Aeons website to advertise out collaboration and product.
With only an hour available for the shoot and looking at website such as Etsy and Amazon for inspiration, two very successful website that hold a platform for small business. After gliding through the webpages it struck to me the most effect way to present the product was a clean white backdrop with the masks places in several Orangemen to show their detail, colour and later add the designs.

Using two soft boxes either side ion an equal power beaming down onto a white board witch lay the 4 masks in our groups chosen colours. Setting up the mask In different arrangements to allow all masks to be clearly seen showing the stick detail, toggle adjustment and colours.
As the purpose of these images were for the website to showcase out collaborative product I did not add in any props to the frames. This was because I didn't want the viewer to be distracted from our product, nor did I want out website clientele to be confused by what was being advertised.

Here are a range of product arrangements I have used to capture the mask in it form. Due to COVID restrictions we were unable to gain access to the printer for each designers design to be placed on the mask before shooting. This was not ideal as we will now have to print onto an already contracted mask. However, The images allow a good selection of photographic content for the designer to digitally add their designs on to the mask via photoshop. From this shoot I have developed a better understanding of how to light products ensuring all detail is shown through the image.

Using inspiration from a local shop Masktify advertisement of their mask product on Etsy, I added the colour name to the image via photoshop so the customers can clearly see the colour ensure they select the correct one to purchase.

Here is a example of what Aeons mask could look like if we chose to advertise and sell our mask via other platforms such as Esty as well as our website created for the sales.
