With the colobrative group be have been assigned, the group and I have all been trying to figure out a realistic proposal in response of our brief. As discussed in my previous blog post we propose to use an element of a timeline of past present and future. Each creative is going to develop and showcase their skills within this theme.
I, as one of the photographers in the group will be developing photographic documentation as primary research for the group. I have taken a second visit to the market space today and focused on photographing content of patterns, light and shadows. The feedback from my previous shoot from my peers was to try and focus on the detail within the space.
As an end result of this brief the group and I wish to create a face covering/mask made up of sustainable material reinforcing the end to harmful fashion. We aim to source a fabric that is sustainable that can potentially be recycled after the mask/covering is no longer needed or wanted. We hope the material will also be biodegradable. We have chosen to make a sustainable mask/covering as the current situation within the world requires by law face coverings/masks to be warn in indoor spaces such as shopping centres. The Mask/covering will be sustainable as the current climate in fashion is pushing all brands to become more sustainable helping improve carbon footprint and our planet. This refers to the present day within the timeline.
We feel the idea of a self-curated mask/covering that is sustainable also fits into our timeline theme and its very much the future of fashion.
From the primary research images I have taken at and around the market Apollo Harwood an illustrator from the group. Apollo has extracted detailing from the architecture captured within my photographs of the market. From these initial designs is why i will next be focusing on detailed areas of the space to allow Apollo to clearly pick out designs to illustrate

''To develop the patterns you see before you, I extracted simplistic shapes of the market, for example the windows and beam structures, and reconstructed the the shapes to form a pattern. To develop this further in practice, it can be used as a stencil to provide a print for the mask, that the group and I are collaborating to create. '' (L, Harwood, 2020.)

Brand name
The name of the project/business will be AEON meaning 'an indefinite and very long period of time'(Dictionary,2020) . As a collective we chose this name as it fits within the initial timeline theme as defined. The name also sound very futuristic and face mask are the new normal.
Collectively we will set up a Instargram and webpage as a platform to sell the masks/covering but to also show the process of the group working collaboratively. My self and Nick (other photographer) are going to set up a photoshoot of the mask warn by member of the group using the market space as our location.
IDEAS FOR THER SHOOT;

Using the market as a location allows us to also take advantage of the peculiar lighting within the grade 2 listen building. The mask always being the focal point of each image but shooting it in a cool trendy way with fashion and editorial photography in mind. Using the shapes and light within the backdrop of the photograph also to reinforce where the pattern cutting ideas originated from.
