Beginning with the past present and future I began looking at other market spaces that was thriving for inspiration of what the Huddersfield market could be like in the future.
Looking at the Halifax-Piece Hall which is a grade 1 listed building from the eightieth century, a sole surviving building from the cloth halls from 1779. The name piece hall comes from the original building was for pieces of cloth. The pieces hall today has a range of shops exhibitions for all creatives and food and drink. The market has the potential to be Huddersfield piece hall for the future. The key factor for the Piece Hall is the creative cultural it embodies including the impressive building its-self witch adapted the neo-classic order of architecture taken originally from the roman.
The hall hols serval events through the year encouraging visitors from all around keeping their spaces full of life. The events start from live performance to Christmas markets.
The Huddersfield queens gate market is very traditional within its purpose of being one space to buy all you need from independent market stalls. The university and arts council have come together to create the Temporary Contemporary spaces within the market and surrounding Piazza to encourage creative work to be visited and shown. This Is what made me believe it can become a space like the piece hall encouraging locals and beyond to visit the art and shop independent.
Going to visit the market my-self.
With the use of my primary resarch of exploring and photographing the market. The group could pick out patterns and line work to create there designs for the final mask. Encouraging the collaborative process to move forward. Without the use of my primary research to inspirer the creative to use elements from my photographs of the Queensgate market they would have has to rely on webpage imagery of the market.

From gathering the primary sourced photographs from the market and researching into product photography; how products are presented in frame to show a good value for money product for sales. This has given me ideas of how to photograph our mask in its finnialised form. Even with the new lockdown restrictions and no access to models I have adapted to photograph the product with out models or studio but to ensuring the quality for the marketing material as the photo will be for the social media and website purposes.
These current restrictions in lockdown 2.0 mean I will no longer be able to collaborate on shoots with the group or alongside Nick Ashman the other photographer. Initally wanting to use the market space as a location for a fashion shoot. ThereforeI have ordered a mannequin head to model the face mask at home. I plan to use my preferred way of photographing: using natural light but ensure the images are clean for commercial use for the website and Instagram.

I have chosen the mannequin head on the right as I feel it will photograph better as I’m using the suns natural light with possibly a white sheet as a backdrop. The darker head will prevent the light bouncing off and reflecting the light creating an unfinished edge.

Figure 14 shows a variation of mask styles on models with contrast colours, I would have liked to photograph our mask on model like the photographer who photographed the collaboration between Manufacturer Meo and New Zealand fashion designer Karen Walker (Figure14). But for purposes keeping too production of Aeon on track for sales I will shoot within models until the government eases the restrictions. .
Campaigns
With Aeon come four talented designer that will print their patterns onto our mask, there will be four different campaigns styles suited to each artist but ensuring that they fit with our overall aims for our brand Aeon. I will collaborate with each artist when photographing gaining their feedback and suggested each test to allow them to have a key role within the photo shoot even though they cannot be their. Communication will be very important through the process of creating Aeon.
