For this terms initially I was struggling to split my project into the two models so that I was focusing my project in the right direction for the two models effectively. TMA1431-Creative Studio ran by Roddy Hunter and TMA1422 Professional Platforms in Art and Communication ran by Anneke Petican, both modules are similar in terms of brief and assessment criteria. This is something I'm not familiar with as in my un degrade the models was clearly different; a theory and critical review module.
However, after looking over the brief and a discussion with fellow student Leanne Galloway I have understood that the module are in fact in shot theory and critical review. For TMA1344 I will focus on research into archival material, zine, zine layout and text. Particularly focusing on ideas and theory behind my work and context. I have chosen these sub categories within my project as I feel they best fit into the professional and comunication aspect of photography. Zines are a highly populated way of trying out projects in a book form to present to an audience. Within books and zine text can play a key role in the flow and viewers reading of the photographs. creative a end product of a photobook will reinforce the importance of the work and content around my family. Books are equally as professional as a exhibition I feel it will best showcase my work.
For TMA1431-Creative Studio, I want to focus on using a new photographic methods such as , medium format film photography after a recent purchase of a Mamiya c330 film camera. I have used 35mm film before but never 120 medium format so I want to expand my photographs and get the professional yet film style imagery created by medium format. I will also be looking to create home studio set ups as I tend to shoot documentary their and then photography. Using studio staged portraiture within my practice I feel will help me focus on what I really want to show within my images. Within this module I want to explore other mediums of working branching out to other disciplines.
